PLAY is home to CrossFit Play as well as a number of new and exciting functional fitness classes to be introduced soon to suit all levels
We’re a community. Our members actually interact with each other. You’re just as likely to find our members chilling on the lounges with a coffee as on the training floor sweating up a storm.
We prioritise performance over aesthetics and we get results.
Our program is designed by three-time CrossFit Games competitor and one of Australasia's fittest men - Khan Porter - and ensures all members are actually progressing, not just doing an hour of exercises thrown together at random.
Our coaches are epic in every way, shape and form. They live and breath fitness and are always on hand to help you any time you’re in the gym.
We have no place for egos. Check them at the door, or find another gym.
We play cool music (mostly) and believe dancing is an essential part of any good workout.
We will not encourage you to eat carrot sticks and celery. We also won't discourage you from drinking beer.

The standard PLAY membership allows members total access to PLAY. All classes and open gym times are accessible for
only $60 per week. You can cancel or put your membership on hold at any time with two weeks notice.
The fundamentals pack is the best way to give PLAY a try. You'll learn the key movements and exercises that may
be encountered in our various classes over 5 personal sessions with one of our awesome coaches, who will provide a
thorough assessment of your current movement and ensure you are best placed to get the best results from training
at PLAY. We highly recommend this pack for all new members who have less than 6 months experience in
functional fitness/CrossFit training or those wishing to improve their ability further. For all fundamentals
sessions, please contact us to book in.
Drop in sessions are available to Players visiting from out of town only.
PLAY offers a $10 discount on standard memberships for students and the emergency services (firefighters, police, ambos) with proof of student/work ID

Khan Porter is one of the top CrossFit Athletes in Australasia, which we reckon is pretty damn cool for our humble little gym in the city.
He has competed internationally at the CrossFit Games three times in succession and is one of the most sought after CrossFit athletes and coaches in the world.
Khan’s scientific programming and attention to detail in his own training, is reflected in his coaching style and the programming at PLAY and (as you can see from his own results), it works!
Khan is lucky enough to not only call keeping fit a passion, but his full time job, and as such is always around to help new members with skills and drills and provide individual programming for other athletes, or future athletes.

Hey guys, I’m Yasi. I’ve been coaching CrossFit and Olympic Weightlifting for 4 years and still love every minute of it!
I started training as a youngin’ and quickly fell in love with the ‘Sport of Fitness’ and the community that came with it.
Growing up running around the gym and beginning coaching at 14, you can imagine how “little one” soon became a frequent nickname of mine!
I’ve since competed overseas on the Youth/Junior International Weightlifting Team, as well as a Teen CrossFit Athlete.
The passion I had for training myself soon grew into a passion for coaching others, which I’ve run with ever since.
Having completed my CrossFit Level 1 and Weightlifting certifications, coupled with my years of experience as both an athlete and a coach, I hope to bring to the table plenty of technical knowledge, a bubbly personality and the motivation to help any member smash their goals in the gym!

London born and raised now living the dream in Sydney, I bring my cockney charm and London grit to coaching at PLAY. As a former gymnast I'm lucky enough to have had one of the greatest foundations to start CrossFit.
I learned that movement with optimal stability, strength and power are the key components to consistent performance and injury prevention. Through my training as a gymnast I realised the only thing that beats talent is hard work and dedication.
I help people re-define what's possible in their lives. CrossFit is my passion.
Hey guys, I’m pretty new to the Functional Fitness world but have thoroughly enjoyed the journey so far. I love to work out in the classes and enjoy watching people train and reach their potential physically and mentally.
I’ve worked in Human Services for over 25 years; in aged and disability and health service provision. I’m one of those guys whose done a myriad of jobs in my lifetime. I have always tried to give 100% in whatever I have worked at. I have a degree in Social Science and am part of the way through a post graduate qualification in Clinical Science (Healthy Ageing).
I’m most proud of our family: the three boys, Khan, Dante and Cosmo and my partner, Hanni. You might see them working out here as well. I love to chat and meet new people and am passionate about providing the best possible customer service to our members.
